This Team of Indian Engineers built a CamScanner Alternative in just 4 days!

A Team of Engineers have built BharatScanner - an Indian Alternative of CamScanner in just 4 days. This shows the technical capabilities of Indians and the hard work they can put in when it is about our country. On 29th June 2020, When Indian Government banned 59 Chinese apps, CamScanner was one of the apps. It was banned because CamScanner was being used in Indian Hospitals, Government Offices, Colleges, Research Institutes and the documents scanned could be easily sent to china. This meant that China Govt. could easily find out everything that Indians were working on. Any new research work or medical breakthroughs could easily land in their hands. Pajjwal & Kunal had been using CamScanner for a very long time but never thought how risky it was to use Chinese apps. Only after the ban, they realized that Chinese apps are a threat to National Security, especially after the Galwan Valley incident. BharatScanner - The Indian Camscanner

BharatScanner is The Indian CamScanner. It has been developed by KickHead Softwares Pvt Ltd. (Bangalore & Noida) which is a company founded by IIM Bangalore, BITS Pilani Alumni who has 10+ years of experience in companies like McAfee, Intel, TCS and ARM.  BharatScanner's UI is very similar to CamScanner as it is meant to help the users who were using CamScanner earlier. Changing the UI might make it difficult for users to adopt the new product hence they kept the same interface as Camscanner. How did they start creating the Camscanner's Indian Version? At a time when there is a lot of tension between India and China, Prajjwal who is an Alumnus of IIM Bangalore decided to create a new Indian version of Camscanner. He and his team had been using CamScanner for a very long time but after the recent events at the Galwan Valley, it was impossible for him to use CamScanner.
